Bundaberg Rowing Club is located on the Burnett River where it has survived as one of the oldest sporting clubs in Queensland or even Australia. It was established in 1889. A more recent addition to BRC is the Bucca accommodation and rowing facility. This delightful rowing venue is situated about 25km outside Bundaberg on the Kolan River in the rural area of Bucca. For years rowers have enjoyed the friendship the club has provided. The clubs main objective is the development and support of the sport of rowing. By doing this over the many years BRC has given a healthier lifestyle to hundreds of locals and visitors alike. Club members have achieved many notable successes in state, national and international titles won
Today the club is home to mostly junior rowers which make up the local school teams. We have a growing numbers of Masters rowers (age 27 - 80) Some have been with the Club since 1964.
We provide the base for 5 local Bundaberg and Gin Gin schools: St Lukes Anglican School, Shalom College, Bundaberg State High School,
Bundaberg North State High School and Gin Gin State High School. All the schools support rowing teams of all age groups.
We welcome new Members and conduct Learn to Row courses for beginners at Bundaberg and Bucca.
